SLEEP OUT
Dear tired, sleepless friend, I’ve laid down ‘SLEEP OUT’ as ground zero (#000) of my new project and creative hub OUTTAKES. A golden-tinged, therapeutic 3 hour mixtape depicting the most sleepy, meditative and cosy curation of tracks. Featuring works from the likes of Prefuse73, Burial, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jon Hopkins, Robag Wruhme, Stimming, Nils Frahm, and Sigur Ros to name but a few this is a mix to happily get lost within; 48 tracks to soundtrack the most libidinous of moods.

Two of my own productions ‘Gone Love’ & ‘Unter Deck’ bookend this mixtape, which were tailored to stand alongside some of the most beautiful tracks by artists, friends and labels that I truly respect and who have all been a source of inspiration for me. I’m excited to present their work in a such personal space. Further original production work will follow in future editions of OUTTAKES with this set of selections serving as a serene opening chapter and a statement of intent of things to come. Researched and road-tested over the last few years, the end result is the product of a tireless labour of love and stands in stark contrast musically to the majority of my previous artistic endeavors. After playing hundreds of house and techno gigs in over 40 countries with ROBOSONIC, this dedicated mix represents the very opposite of physical music, redressing the balance I would seek to attain as a tool to relax whenever I needed to unwind. Thus it was only natural for OUTTAKES to start at the lowest level possible… horizontal business.
